# Claude for Everyone — Skills Customization Guide

These skills are designed to work for any business, any industry, any person.
But they work best when you make them yours.

---

## How to Customize a Skill

Every skill that needs personalization contains sections marked with:

```
👉 Replace this block with your own information
```

**The process:**
1. Download the skill zip from your course dashboard
2. Open `SKILL.md` in any text editor (TextEdit, Notepad, VS Code)
3. Find every `👉` prompt and replace it with your information
4. Save the file
5. Upload to your Claude Project via Settings → Skills

That's it. You don't need to touch anything else.

## Skills in This Pack

### ✅ Ready to use as-is (no customization needed)

| Skill | What it does |
|---|---|
| `pre-call-prep` | Research any prospect before a call |
| `meeting-synthesizer` | Extract decisions and action items from meeting notes |
| `content-repurposer` | Turn rough notes into polished content |
| `daily-check-in` | Structure your day with a prioritized plan |
| `okr-coach` | Set, track, and grade your OKRs |

### 🛠️ Customize before using (fill in your voice/context)

| Skill | What to customize | Time needed |
|---|---|---|
| `linkedin-post-generator` | Your background, voice, sentence patterns, words you'd never say | 10-15 min |
| `project-instructions-generator` | Use the generic examples as-is, or add your own client examples | Optional |

---

## Customizing `linkedin-post-generator`

This is the most important one to personalize — it's worthless if it sounds generic.

**Open `SKILL.md` and fill in these sections:**

**1. Who You Are**
Your professional background. Be specific — "former marketing director at a 50-person SaaS company" is better than "marketing professional."

**2. How You Sound**
Describe your tone like you'd describe a friend's texting style. "Direct and warm" or "nerdy and enthusiastic" or "dry and precise" — whatever is true.

**3. Your Natural Sentence Patterns**
Look back at posts or emails you've written and liked. What do you say a lot? Copy those patterns in.

**4. Words You'd Never Use**
The phrases that make you cringe when you see others write them. Add those here and the skill will actively avoid them.

**Pro tip:** The voice calibration doesn't have to be perfect on day one. Use the skill for a week, notice what feels off, and edit those sections. It gets better with iteration.

## Customizing `project-instructions-generator`

The skill itself is fully generic — the only Nicole-specific content was in the `examples/` folder.

The examples included in your pack are fictional placeholders:
- `consulting-client-example.md` — shows how to set up a client project
- `product-build-example.md` — shows how to set up a product project

You can:
- Use them as-is for reference while you learn the pattern
- Replace them with your own real examples once you have projects running
- Delete them entirely — the skill works without them

## Where Skills Live in Claude

Skills are **account-wide** — you upload them once and they're available in every Claude Project on your account. You don't upload per-project.

**To upload:**
1. Go to claude.ai → Settings → Skills
2. Click + to add a new skill
3. Upload `SKILL.md` as the primary file
4. If the skill has a `references/` or `templates/` folder, upload those files too

---

## Questions?

If something isn't working or a skill doesn't sound right, the fix is almost always in the voice calibration section. Make it more specific — more specific always wins.
